FOR THE CENTRAL NORTH PACIFIC…BETWEEN 140W AND 180
Former tropical depression Flossie has weakened into a remnant low. The low level cloud swirl marking the remnant circulation is located nearly 400 miles southwest of Kauai and is moving west near 18 mph. Only isolated thunderstorms periodically flare about 90 miles northeast of the center, and hostile shearing winds aloft make redevelopment of the system unlikely. The final advisory from the Central Pacific Hurricane Center can be found under AWIPS header TCMCP2 and WMO header WTPA22 PHFO.
Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Saturday morning.
