October 3, 1966: Island Holidays Limited buys the Royal Lahaina Hotel in Ka’anapali. (The hotel is now owned by Hawaiian Hotels & Resorts), making it the first company to own a hotel on all four major Hawaiian islands.  Let the Land Rush Begin!
