HAWAIIAN WORD OF THE DAY — Paulauni: Brownie
Janurary 22, 2008: E-Cycling, formerly CompuSwap, the electronics recycling event, returns to Maui this Friday and Saturday:
When: Businesses, Schools Friday, January 25, 9 to 1; Individuals Saturday, January 26, 9 to 1
Where: Stadium Parking Lot, Kanaloa Ave., Wailuku
What: Accepting computers, televisions, stereos, peripherals – ANYTHING with a circuit board except household appliances. Offering: FREE computer parts and computer systems (get giveaway numbers Saturday morning at 9), FREE recycling of all components.
How: Just bring your equipment by car to the parking lot; we have helpers who can unload for you.
Who: Overseen by Habitat for Humanity Maui, who requests visitors to consider donating $10 for every complete computer system; sponsored by a Dept. of Environmental Management Recycling Grant.
