HAWAIIAN WORD OF THE DAY — Pulu: WetMarch 27th, 1964: A series of tsunamis hit Maui, Molokai, Oahu, and to a lesser extent Kauai and the Big Island. No one is hurt and little damage is reported in Hawii. The tidal waves were triggered by an Alaskan earthquake – the strongest in North American history– that killed 117 people. Signs of the this magnitude 8.4 quake can still be seen near Anchorage to this day. EVENTS ON THIS DAY — March 27th
