Barack Obama & Family arrive in Hawaii August 8YESTERDAY: Barack Obama returns to Honolulu, his childhood home. The 1979 Punahou School graduate,  with his wife Michelle and their two children are vacationing in Hawaii during the Olympic Games being held in Bejing, China.  He will also be working on his acceptance speech for the Democratic Convention at the end of the month.

“I’m going to see my tutu, my grandma, and I’m going to watch my girls play on the beach and maybe once in a while, I’ll go into the water. But mostly I’m just going to sit there and watch them,” he told a crowd of 3,000 who welcomed him at Keehi Lagoon. “I’m going to have a plate lunch, some shave ice and do some body surfing,” he added.  Read  more
