GOP: Brutes Who Sell Their Souls
October 9, 2008 9:36 pm National Election, Raphael O'Suna GOP: Brutes Who Sell Their SoulsThere is only one thing left for John McCain and Company, and that is to turn dirty.
Republicans have made the dirty campaign into an art form. Reverend Wright will be back, along with all the nonsense one can hear on right wing radio. One can detect a pitch of hysteria in some of the voices of these program hosts.
No one in America, as of this writing (October 4) believes that McCain can win. For two weeks, he has been wandering around like Mr. Magoo, while his running mate stayed at the ball past midnight.
In The Wizard of Oz, the old, green witch, summons her flying monkeys. Likewise, the soulless brutes who sell their souls to campaigns and create images, rumors and insinuations, in order to sway the unthinking, under-informed and heart-challenged dregs of the Republican Party, will soon be deviously employed.
Obama, however, can withstand the lie, the mud shoveled up from the shoveler’s pitiable self, and legitimate scrutiny. But there is a law which he cannot avoid. It is the law which says: Great energy attracts sly enemies.
