Republicans: Fearful, Infernal, Fanatical

Raphael O'Suna No Comments

The Republican Party is bankrupt.

From the top of the Party down to the bait-men on the radio. Listening to them, especially the radio riffraff, is like having descended into the hell-realm of malicious whiners. When I listen to right wing radio, I sometimes imagine a rabid dog noisily charging one bone after another.

Once, the Republicans represented wealth, education, sophistication, patrician values and honor. Now the Party is so much rabble. It has become a klavern of unhooded know nothings.

ISLAND NEWS ARCHIVES – October 26, 1979:
While schoolchildren in Mainland snowbound states begin to dream of “snow days,”which offer students days off from school because of the fluffy stuff, children on Maui get 3 unscheduled days off not from being marooned by snow, but um …  because of the stink. All Maui public schools joined the 228 public schools statewide in closing because state health officials deem the schools “unsanitary.” The cause? A United Public Workers strike. School custodians are on strike and no one is cleaning the restrooms. Eventually, the stink got out of hand, and all schools had to be shut down. They reopened October 29.

Day One of the Palin Meltdown

Maui Curmudgeon, National Election No Comments

AHHHHHHHH…

By Maui Curmudgeon
During these final days nearing the election, is there anything more satisfying than seeing the conservatives come unglued? I doubt it.
And now the McCain-Palin ticket is showing it’s real metal. It seems that the illustrious Sarah Palin (show here in an earlier incantation) is “going rogue” according to several McCain staffers, and as reported on CNN and Time. She doesn’t clear her messages with the Big Guy (i.e. her head of ticket), nor does she stick on message.
As one staffer said, Palin is a “Diva” and all Divas are concerned only with themselves. And here’s the suspicion: Palin is sure the ticket is going to lose, and so she is working now to set herself up as a party leader, and the republican frontrunner for 2012! So, thanks Sarah, for giving up so soon and doing your part to bring to bring change to America, in the form of Obama.
