“W” – Master of Disaster

No one wants to claim the belfrey-boy, now that he is ready to slink away in utter disgrace.

No person, no party, no place is proud of our commander-in-chief–the “Master of Disaster.” It was well said months ago: “Bush senior was born on third base, and he thought that he had hit a triple. George W. was born on third base, and he promptly stole second.”

In 1905, the five-member council passed an act that established five districts for policing: Lahaina and Lanai, Wailuku and Kahoolawe, Hana, Makawao and Molokai. Each district had a sheriff. A formal police department wasn’t needed until 1939.
