Get Me a Hamburger, Pronto!

It sure sounded like a nifty idea.

Two days ago, on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, a “Vegan Holiday Festival” was held at the Haiku Community Center, and was attended by about 80 people.

It was enough to drive this 12-year vegetarian to eat meat.

As an event, it was about as unorganized as it could get without completely falling apart. People showed up at noon for lunch (vegan food was the focus of the event, after all), only to be told there’s be no food served until 5pm.
