It’s OK that Tennessee is breeding idiots about as fast as any other state in the Blubber Belt, but it is definitely not fair that the state allows these jackasses to invade other states, and especially our beloved isle of Maui.
Pick any Harry Eagar drool of words in a Maui News edition, or in Harry’s blog, and you’ll find more denials of reality and common sense than you’d believe possible for one person to hold and still function in reality. How does this warped hillbilly put one foot in front of the other?
One recent spew of Harry’s garbage, which he entitled “Let Them Eat Sewage,” serves as ample proof. An example: “I have some problems with [Bjorn] Lomborg. For one, he believes, against evidence, that the globe is warming.”

Forecasters issued a flash flood watch for all islands Tuesday. An upper-level low pressure system will remain near the islands through at least Thursday, continuing the threat for flash flooding. More >

Hana airport opens. The first plane to land is a Trans-Pacific Alohaliner. Many people assume that this means airplanes could now land at Hana on Maui. In truth, airplanes had been flying to Hana since the late teens, perhaps as early as 1917.The difference, of course, was the size of the planes. Until the airport was constructed, only small, light planes could land on dirt or grassy fields.

Part 1A, in a 4-part Series on Religion
Just as I embarked on a small four-part series on one of my favorite topics – religions – an Islamic psychopath, this one in an American uniform no less, murdered more than a dozen people at Fort Hood. To say the least, I was dispirited to find out this morning that he was still alive.
Our tolerance of people has been the death of some of us.
What is a disgruntled Muslim doing on a military base?
Is anyone falling for the “he was picked on because of his religion” whiny excuses coming from his family and other Muslims?
