HAOLE SAYING OF THE DAY “I’m not concerned about all hell breaking loose, but that part of hell will break loose…it’ll be much harder to detect. - George Carlin

December 8, 1942: Mario Savio, FSM student leader was born. See his speech in UC Berkeley’s Sproul Plaza, December 2, 1964, which sparked the 60s student movement.
December 8th, 2008:
Linda Lingle’s administration goes to court defending the state’s right to own all lands owned by the monarchy before the illegal overthrown of the legitimate Hawaiian government in 1893. It can’t do anything else, of course. At stake is more than 1.2 million acres of land. To give it up would be chaos. That the state owns it is morally reprehensible. And indefensible, except in an American court, of course, which will rule that the state owns everything. It can’t rule otherwise. Any administration, regardless of power, would have to argue as this one does. Still, it’s nice to see this vapidly criminal administration take heat on this one, too.
