“Literally, everything can be included in four words,” he said.

“Some might say, ‘one word,’” I suggested: “‘God,’ or ‘Energy’ or ‘Consciousness.’”

“Not descriptive enough,” he said. Then he added: “No resonance.”

I wasn’t sure what he meant.

“The Hopis have four words to cover everything,” he said. “Can you guess them?”

“Time,” I said. “Space. Change. And life.” But then I thought of mind and thought. And what about perception.
